Send your MX mouse and keyboard back to the other computer — no install needed.
Open this page in Chrome or Edge. If you already are, WebHID has probably been disabled by policy (check edge://policy or chrome://policy for DefaultWebHidGuardSetting).
1 · Allow access (once per device)
Pick the Bolt Receiver if you use one (remembered for good). Otherwise add the mouse and keyboard separately.
2 · Test (doesn't switch anything)
3 · Switch
The hover pad is a small always-on-top window. Drag it to the screen edge nearest your Linux monitor; moving the cursor onto it switches both devices. Keep this tab open (it can sit in the background).
